Our Local Impact: Bringing Your Donations Home
Ever wonder how we fund our biggest local projects? It starts with your support of The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund is the lifeblood of our local service. A portion of every donation made to this fund becomes available to our district three years later through the SHARE system. This allows us to apply for District Grants to address immediate needs right here in our community. When you give to the Annual Fund, you are investing directly in Ada and Pontotoc County.
Your Annual Fund Donations at Work in Ada:
- 2024 Bark at the Park: This fun, community-building event for our furry friends and their families was made possible by a District Grant funded by your past contributions.
- 2025 Disaster Preparedness Kits: Our upcoming project to provide essential disaster preparedness kits for families in our area is also supported by a District Grant—a direct result of your generosity to the Annual Fund.

At Ada Sunrise Rotary, "Service Above Self" is more than our motto—it's our daily call to action. The engine that powers our service, both around the world and right here at home, is The Rotary Foundation.
When you give to The Rotary Foundation, you support a worldwide network of Rotarians who are changing lives. Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a real, tangible difference. Here are the two primary ways our club members give, and a look at how your donations are making an incredible impact.
Our Global Promise: Ending Polio for Good
For over 35 years, Rotary has been at the forefront of the fight to eradicate polio. We made a promise to the world's children, and we are on the verge of keeping it. Polio has been reduced by 99.9%, and our job won't be finished until that number is 100%.
Our club is doing its part to fulfill that promise. We are incredibly proud that this year alone, the members of Ada Sunrise Rotary have contributed over $3,000 to the End Polio Now fund!
That represents over 3,000 children who can now grow up healthy, happy, and polio-free. Thanks to the 2-to-1 match from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the impact of every dollar we give is effectively tripled, bringing us even closer to the finish line.
