Ada Sunrise Rotary members attended the Rotary District 5770 Conference and Foundation Dinner in Norman, Oklahoma on April 10–12, 2026, returning home with two well-earned recognitions and great memories from a strong district gathering.
Ada Sunrise Rotary was proud to be represented at the Rotary District 5770 District Conference and Foundation Dinner, held April 10–12, 2026 in Norman, Oklahoma at the J.D. McCarty Center and Cleveland County Fairgrounds Event Center.
The weekend brought together Rotarians from across the district for learning sessions, fellowship, and celebration, and Ada Sunrise had plenty to celebrate. At the Foundation Dinner on Saturday evening, the club was recognized for raising over $1,500 for Polio Plus in the past year, supporting Rotary International's global effort to eradicate polio. Shirley Mixon was also recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow +1, a meaningful milestone honoring her sustained generosity to the Rotary Foundation.
It was also a proud moment to see our own Christine Pappas represented on the Saturday program in her role as District Rotaract & Interact Chair.
A special shoutout to the Scissortail Passport Rotary Club! Always great to see fellow Rotarians doing good work. And thank you to District 5770 leadership for a well-organized and inspiring weekend.
Thank you to all Ada Sunrise members who made the trip to represent our club. Service Above Self, in Ada and across the district.
