Club members assembled nearly 170 disaster preparedness kits at a fellowship potluck evening, working together in a trick-or-treat style assembly line.
On October 23, 2025, Ada Sunrise Rotary members gathered for a Disaster Preparedness Kit Assembly and Potluck, packing nearly 170 emergency kits in a single evening. The group formed a trick-or-treat style assembly line to work efficiently, filling each kit with a flashlight, ponchos, a blanket, hygiene supplies, a first aid kit, and a custom Disaster Readiness Guide the club created specifically for Oklahoma hazards including severe storms and power outages.
The project was funded through a Rotary District grant and represented months of planning and coordination. Members brought food and drinks to share, filling the evening with laughter and fellowship alongside the work. The result was a productive and memorable night that demonstrated what a group of committed volunteers can accomplish together.
The kits will be distributed to vulnerable community members.
