Club members distributed District Grant-funded disaster preparedness kits to seniors attending the Irving Center, which provides meals, activities, and services to older adults in Ada.
On November 19, 2025, Ada Sunrise Rotary members brought disaster preparedness kits to the Irving Center in Ada, distributing them to seniors attending the center for meals and activities. The Irving Center provides a range of services to older adults in the community, including congregate dining, social programming, and supportive resources.
Each kit contained a flashlight, a whistle, a first aid kit, ponchos, and other emergency supplies to help individuals be better prepared in the event of severe weather or other emergencies. Oklahoma's weather can shift rapidly, and older adults are among the most vulnerable populations when emergencies strike.
This distribution was part of the larger District Grant-funded project.
