East Central University President Wendell Godwin presented at the Friday morning meeting, sharing updates on campus initiatives and the university's evolving role in the Ada community.

On March 6, 2026, Ada Sunrise Rotary welcomed East Central University President Wendell Godwin as the program speaker at the regular Friday morning meeting. President Godwin shared updates on campus life, enrollment, and the university's growing role as a partner in Ada's economic and cultural development.

East Central University has been a cornerstone of Ada for more than a century, and the relationship between the university and Ada Sunrise Rotary runs deep. The club co-sponsors the ECU Rotaract Club, supports international students through the Elizabeth Schmelling International Student Award, and regularly partners with ECU programs and personnel on service projects throughout the year.

Hearing directly from President Godwin gave members a current picture of where ECU is headed and an opportunity to consider how Rotary can continue supporting the university's mission and the students it serves.
