Ada Sunrise Rotary hosted a free, dog-friendly community event at Doc's Food Truck Park to raise awareness and donations for Rotary's End Polio Now campaign.

On October 18, 2025, Ada Sunrise Rotary hosted Puppies, Pints, and Polio at Doc's Food Truck Park on State Highway 1 in Ada. The event ran from 6 to 10 p.m., welcoming guests and their dogs for an evening of food, drinks, music, and community connection, with donations to Rotary's End Polio Now campaign encouraged.

The event sparked genuine community conversation about polio, including with at least one attendee who had never previously heard of the disease. By making the event social, inclusive, and dog-friendly, the club found a creative way to bring polio awareness to audiences who might not otherwise engage with the cause.

Polio remains active in a small number of countries, and Rotary's sustained global campaign has helped reduce cases worldwide by more than 99 percent since the eradication effort began. Events like this one keep local awareness alive and support a mission that still needs champions.
