Rotary members delivered student dictionaries to third graders at Homer Elementary, Allen School, Sasakwa, Konawa, and other area schools throughout December.

In December 2025, Ada Sunrise Rotary members spread across Pontotoc County and beyond to deliver student dictionaries to third graders. Rotarians Connie Hall and Kevin Butler presented dictionaries to the third grade class at Homer Elementary. Danielle O'Daniel delivered to Allen School with the help of student volunteers. Shirley Mixon and Christine Pappas visited Sasakwa and Konawa, where they had students look up words like Awesome, Can, Igloo, Kangaroo, and Lucky.

The dictionary project is one of Rotary's most enduring literacy initiatives, giving each child a personal reference tool they can use throughout their school years. Seeing the excitement on students' faces when they receive their own dictionary is one of the most rewarding moments in the club's annual service calendar.

Providing students with access to educational resources reflects Rotary's global focus on supporting education and the club's belief that investing in local children is an investment in the future of the entire community.
